Your Home

The Alphington is a modern, purpose built facility providing 45 large and elegant bedrooms all with ensuites and built in robes. All rooms look out onto trees, gardens or private courtyards. The rooms are available fully furnished or you are welcome to bring your own furniture with you. In either case residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with pictures and personal effects. All rooms have telephone connections and TV antenna points along with 24 hour nurse call alarms.

The dining room is where you join others for regular meals. Your food is prepared in our own kitchen made with the freshest ingredients. Our chefs go to great lengths to cater for your individual tastes so alternative meals or variations in proportions are always available.

The living room is the social hub of your home. With comfortable arm chairs and lounges you will always find someone to chat to. This is where many activities take place such as communal newspaper readings, yoga and exercise class.

Other important locations in The Alphington are the garden courtyards, common TV viewing area and the always popular morning tea nook.

Because it is your home you are welcome to have family and friends visit at any time and they may participate in activities or share a meal. Our staff really enjoy getting to know your visitors and consider them a very important part of The Alphington family.

Importantly, as a resident at The Alphington you can make a contribution to how the facility operates. The Resident Committee meets every two months and provides feedback and ideas to staff and management on matters of daily living and requests for new equipment or activities.
